AGM (Absorbent Glass Mat) batteries are the most modern variant of the lead-acid battery.

In these batteries, the electrolyte is bound in fiberglass fleece. This results in low self-discharge, meaning they only need to be recharged every six months if the battery is not stored above 20°C.

In addition, AGM batteries are tip-proof and leak-proof and can be installed in virtually any position, which is especially advantageous for motorcycles.

Another advantage: unlike gel, fleece impedes the flow of ions much less. This means that AGM batteries can be charged more quickly with a higher current than gel batteries and, due to their lower internal resistance, can supply correspondingly higher amounts of current to the consumer if necessary.

Fits Harley-Davidson Sportster XL '97-'03, Dyna and Softail '97 to present, and VRSC models '07 to present (except VRSCR '07). Also fits Buell S1, S3/T, M2, and X1 models.
